About Balanced Life Magazine...

Balanced Life Magazine has been in existence, in one form or another since Spring 2004. We started as Holistic Happenings, a Calendar of Events style, bi-monthly publication. Then in 2007 we changed the name of the magazine to Balanced Life Magazine, out of a desire to be more inclusive and reach a broader Advertising Base and Readership.

That name change served us well and we continued to grow until about 2009, when things started to change with us and all around us. There were changes in the economy and it was about that time that print advertising seemed to be losing favor to online advertising and social media marketing. For the next couple of years our sales began to slip and to be totally honest, we didn't take the time to educate ourselves on Social Media Marketing and didn't keep up with the changes we needed to make as a magazine, to stay relevant.

So in April of 2012, we decided to stop printing and turn the magazine into an Online Magazine, still featuring the Articles and information contained in the print version, only instead of printing and distribution, we'd market via Social Media and Email Promotion. That was the plan, although there was a brief hiccup in the transition. A person stepped up with an offer to buy the magazine, we accepted the offer, it didn't pan out and we've spent the last several months regaining ownership and getting back on track.

That brings us to now. We've transformed the existing website into an Online Magazine and Email Promotional Service. At the same time, we're building a new Blog Site that will be live in Spring of 2013. The Online Magazine is very much like the print magazine. Still the same Featured Authors, although New Authors will be added monthly. We're still featuring local Artists, like we did on the covers of our print magazine, although now they are our Featured Monthly Artist, with their Art showcased on our Home Page. And, we still provide affordable Advertising Opportunities, for promoting your Products, Services and Events in our Online Community Directory and in our Monthly eNewsletter, Mid-Month Eblast and Special Offer Emails.

We continue to find ways to reach and encourage Visitors to join our Email List, so we can contact them each time we update the Website with New Articles and information and in addition to notifying our Email Subscribers of updates and sending them our Monthly eNewsletter and other Email Promotions, we also post each on Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Pinterest. Assuring we maximize exposure and give the biggest bang for the buck to our Advertisers.

Hope you'll return to visit us on a regular basis. We have several ideas that will be added when we launch the new site this Spring. We'll be adding a Free Calendar of Events for promoting Workshops, Expos, Classes, Retreats, etc. Plus, we're adding a Blog feature, where you can comment on the Articles and enjoy reading what others have to say. Watch for our announcement of the launch of the New Site, we have many ideas in development, with the focus on how we can continue to support our Contributing Authors, provide more opportunities for promotion to our Advertisers and stay relevant and appealing to our Email Subscribers and Visitors to the site.
