About Balanced Life Magazine...
Balanced Life Magazine Is dedicated to the support and promotion of physical, mental and spiritual balance. Growing out of a desire to create an effective way of promoting holistic health and wellness.
The byline for the magazine is connecting the community, and that was where we started. How could we build a magazine around the idea of connecting the holistic practitioner, teacher, or service with those who would benefit from these services?
Within the pages of Balanced Life Magazine you will find those providing services and education in holistic health and wellness, personal empowerment, spiritual growth, environmental awareness, conscious businesses and a reminder to walk softly on the planet. The common thread between them all is responsibility. Taking personal responsibility for our health, opening to be all we can be and knowing that we are here to grow as spiritual beings.
From a personal perspective, my interest in alternative methods of health and wellness was ignited back in the mid '70s when I became ill with something traditional medicine was unable to diagnosis or treat, offering only drugs to treat each symptom. Intuitively I knew there was another way. I sought out alternative treatments and came to understand that holistic health care is not going to someone to get fixed, but requires a willingness to step up and take responsibility for our well-being.
In addition to providing information on the many conscious businesses and practitioners in the greater Sacramento Valley Region and surrounding Foothill Communities, you will find inspirational and educational articles, as well as a Spotlight Section with information on community events of interest to the entire family. We also feature a Professional Services Directory for ease in locating alternative health practitioners and services.

is published bi-monthly and distributes 15,000 copies, to over 300 locations where FREE publications can be found. Happenings has fast become the reliable, conscious choice resource for promoting and locating upcoming classes, events, trainings, getaways, and retreats, featured in a comprehensive Calendar of Events Section.
