Astrology Forecast
May/June/July of 2010
Spring has sprung and summer is upon us! It is challenging to write a forecast for three months when there are pages to be written for 1-4 weeks these days! There are so many planetary aspects occurring over the course of May, June and July that I could use up this entire space just listing them. These powerful aspects and rare alignments symbolize, reflect, and indicate major shifts on all levels of our experience. We can see these changes in the physical level as earthquakes in Haiti and Chili, volcanoes in Iceland, and more physical/weather upheavals coming through the summer as the speed of our evolution creates continued pressure to change. We can see these changes at the socio-political level as political and economic indicators are, and will continue to be, rattling the bones of citizens who have high stakes in the “game”. Lastly, we see it on a psycho-spiritual level where we are constantly being pressed to either strengthen our core connection to “Divine Consciousness” or risk identity crisis after identity crisis as the overwhelming external stimulation breaks apart our conditioned sense of “self”.
All of this points to the need to shift our awareness and priorities into greater alignment with the essential nature of our soul intention for this life. This soul intention is reflected in your natal birthchart, and where these planetary alignments fall within your individual chart will indicate where this energy is guiding your unfoldment. In general, we can say that there is a tremendous shift through the months of May-July that indicate a time where we are being called to initiate change within our personal/social/spiritual life. The most pronounced of these transits are: Uranus moving into Aries May 27, Jupiter into Aries June 5 (to conjunct Uranus and square Pluto), the Sun into Cancer June 21, Saturn into Libra July 21, and Mars into Libra July 29th (to conjunct Saturn, oppose Jupiter/Uranus and square Pluto).
Those of you who are familiar with astrology will note that all these planets are moving from “mutable” signs into “cardinal” signs. I liken the three modes of Cardinal, Fixed, and Mutable to the universal functions described best as Brahma (Creator or Cardinal), Vishnu (Sustainer or Fixed), and Shiva (Destroyer or Mutable). We can therefore note that we are moving from a (mutable) time of letting go, accepting the results of our past choices/actions, releasing blame, and inwardly listening to the call of our souls, to a (cardinal) time when we need to initiate change, take action, trust ourselves and our instincts to guide us in the creation of a new identity/reality.
It can be very tempting during times such as these to project and blame the disintegration of our past sources of security and stability on forces outside ourselves and beyond our control like the government, military, banks or other social/religious institutions not to mention mother nature herself. However, as we accept more and more responsibility for the creation of our own reality we can see that the shake up, or fall, of these external sources of authority and security can actually reflect our spiritual readiness to take up and own the power of “creation” ourselves. The new paradigm that we are now beginning will increasingly demand that we focus not so much on “what’s happening” as what we are doing to maintain and evolve the awareness of our divine, immortal, spiritual self which exists before, beyond and throughout these external changes.
As opposed to the last 2000 years of the Piscean Age where a strong victim consciousness pervaded our planetary consciousness, we are breaking into the Age of Aquarius to become “mini-gods/goddesses”, eradicating victim consciousness as we move toward god consciousness. Obviously, this change does not occur instantly (it’s a 2000 year age), but there are forerunners in the evolution of consciousness that act as leaders and models of this consciousness as they hold the energy for the planet. From this perspective we can use the astrological signs of the times as indicating the following course of action.
As we move from a place of ego-centered consciousness to that of god-consciousness we rely less on the external world to fill our needs and rather become the source of filling others needs. Rather than needing, sucking, relying, and depending on others, our social system, or external sources of security, we become the channel for, and source of, stability, security, love, and joy. We inwardly choose to identify ourselves as infinite spiritual beings having an earthly experience and grow in our compassion for the pain and suffering of others, asking what we can most do to help and serve. As we continue to align our conscious sense of self in this way we will naturally experience a reduction of needs and desires for self gratification, a lessening of fear for ourselves and our families, and a growing trust in the wisdom of Life, Source, or Creator.
With this lessening of external dependency will also come an increased clarity as to the intention of our soul experience, a heightened perception and intuitive guidance indicating that we are exactly where we need to be, and are going exactly where we need to go, when we need to go there, without the fear of pain or sacrifice being the strong motivators they were in our past. Rather, we experience the joy of connection with others, and a lightness of being as we support, uphold, and share our joy. The resulting “true community” serves as a new foundation for our earthly lives.
If we can envision ourselves as fountains rather than sewers, as sources rather than empty vessels needing to be filled, we will find that life brings us exactly what we need, as much as we need, when we need it, without the effort that was previously required in our past. For as the energy patterns and conduits of the earth itself are changing, so too are the internal cellular structures and pathways of health, vitality, and consciousness changing our physiological makeup. The future will bear out the truth of this reality and those that take up the challenge of believing and trusting in advance will be the forerunners (seeds) of a new reality on planet earth. May you feel the call, enjoy the peace, and bring the truth of who you are forward as a beacon of light to struggling vessels upon the stormy sea of life in 2010.
